Open Top Atlantean

Bristol fleet number 8604 was a 1963 Leyland Atlantean bodied by Weymann, new to Maidstone & District. It was acquired in 1981 to bolster the sightseeing fleet, and converted to open top initially carrying cream and green NBC style livery.

This vehicle subsequently carried several other liveries and enjoyed a long service life. Although not confirmed, it is believed to still exist somewhere in Europe, having left the UK in 2003.

The EFE model has been similarly converted to open top and has the front and rear fairing fitted from a Bristol VR. First issued in 2009, the models are fully resprayed from bare metal.
